Third time here! Always enjoy the experience. Arrived right at opening and had no line with nobody else in front of us on a Thursday at 4pm. Some people came after and they got a way higher stack of veggies on top (maybe they were friends with the workers?) low key not cool... I'd want more veggies too... Ramen bowls are hefty. I love the noodle texture and freshness. The soup was a bit salty. Had to finish the bowl though.

Super heavy but delicious ramen! If you don't like pork too much you may want to avoid, but if you want a nice warm filling meal this is the place! It's pretty strongly soy sauce based, but it's worth a try. Make sure to go very hungry as their portions are huge! And make sure to check their hours (I use Instagram) as they have unusual hours.

Came here on a wednesday night at 6.30, there was a 30 minute line outside to get in. There is only one type of ramen (pork) and you can choose either 2 or 5 slices. You get the option to add "delicious garlic" - who can say no to that? A very authentic and tasty bowl of ramen. The best part of the experience was sharing your dreams with everyone in the restaurant and being gently graded on how you ate (perfect, good job, could do better, etc). Jake and the rest of the staff are very inspirational and kind. Would definitely go again. Parking for free very close by at Porter Square.

Sadly to say I did not enjoy this bowl of ramen as much as everyone else. The broth is too salty and it had a lot of bean sprouts in it which threw me off cause ramen usually doesn't come with bean sprouts and it filled up a quarter the bowl. There were around 10 people ahead of us and we waited for about 45 minutes. The service was quick and friendly. It was cute and wholesome having everyone share their dreams in the restaurant. Food 6.5/10 Value 7/10 Atmosphere 7/10 Experience 7/10

If this post doesn't make you immediately go to Yume Wo Katare (YWK) then my message here is lost because this is my favorite ramen shop in the US! (run don't walk to YWK!!) YWK is a dream workshop where costumers come in to share their dreams after having a hearty, fatty, salty, savory bowl of in-house made, ready to serve ramen What's very enjoyable about YWK is the community All customers are welcomed in and treated like family. All are encouraged to customize their bowls to their taste and appetite (more/less noodles, saltiness, veggies, chashu, pork fat, delicious garlic etc.) and before you leave you are encouraged to share your dreams to everyone as they intently listen and cheer "good job!" or "perfect!" back at you Although YWK seats 6 people at a time (18 seats total) PRO-TIP is to come in during their non-peak hours (usually the first two hours of opening 4-6pm!) and there will be little to no line and wait! I suggest following @yume_wo_katare (instagram) because ramen specials and guest pop-ups happen regularly but are only announced through Instagram YWK regularly serves: Buta ramen (5 piece pork chashu) Ramen (2 piece pork chashu)

There's always a certain excitement going to Yume Wo Katare. It lacks the fine dining ambiance that you may expect but you can feel the happiness of the diners who are there to enjoy a hot hearty bowl of what I call rustic-curly -yellow-ramen noodles with a chunky slices of port as a pile of yummy garlic is resting on top of it. The service and handling of the large bowl of ramen was efficient as expected. I took my time to devour this large bowl of ramen with delight and in the end, with nothing left in the deep bowl, the waiter announced "Perfect!" for my completion of the bowl of deliciousness. It's important to judge this ramen restaurant for what it advertises itself as. Comparing it to other ramen shops probably isn't the right way to do it IMO.

Ramen in this place never gets old. The broth is rich with umami flavor. Waiting in the line outside the store in the winter can be challenging but it's definitely worth it. Seating is class room seating and you'll be asked to share your dreams and aspirations

This tiny little ramen shop seats a total of 18 (3 rows of 6) people at a time, so expect a line to get in; however, the wait is definitely worth it! They specialize in only 1 item, and that is their pork ramen with the option of 2 or 5 thick slices of pork. The broth is extremely flavorful, but you can add garlic if you want an even richer kick. The biggest draw to this place is their theme. All customers are given the option of sharing a dream of theirs with everyone upon finishing their bowl. If you partially finish your bowl, you get a "Good job," and if you completely finish your bowl, you get a "Perfect." Supposedly, the closer to "Perfect" you get, the more likely it is for your dream to come true. Overall, it was a very unique and wholesome experience accompanied by rich and delicious ramen!

Definitely an experience unique to the Boston ramen scene. Came here around 7:30 on a Friday night and waited for about 30-40 minutes. The line usually moves in chunks, as they try to seat each row together. The seating is classroom style, with 3 rows all facing the front. You order at the counter and then grab water/utensils before sitting down. We got the 2 pc classic ramen and curry ramen--I think they were running low on chashu so we couldn't order the 5 pc, if you're chasing after that one I recommend coming earlier! My competitive side got the better of me, as they rank your completion at the end and I HAD to get a "perfect". This meant finishing everything in the bowl, which was pretty rough when it got down to the last bit of broth. Despite the flavor intensity, I wasnt the biggest fan of the fat chunks floating around. As a friend unnecessarily put it, "it's like drinking liquid pig". To be honest if I didn't force myself to finish I probably wouldn't be as traumatized, and it was good ramen don't get me wrong--I loved the thick noodles, but if you're like me and need to get a perfect rating, I recommend doing a juice cleanse leading up to and following this meal

Quick Summary Really cool dining concept where you share your dreams and the chef also shares his story of quitting his job to chase his dreams. Ramen is similar to tonkatsu in Japan, but I would say the memorable things are the mindfulness and inspiration sequences during our lunch Food- 4 stars There's only 1 ramen on the menu. You have the option to order 2 or 5 pieces of pork, and can pay extra for spiciness. The ramen was solid. The broth was very good. Noodles were cooked perfectly and fresh (although I would've preferred thinner noodles with such a heavy tonkatsu broth). The pork pieces were pretty large; the fattier cuts were very good but there were a few pretty lean pieces (not sure if that's what happens when you order the 5 piece versus the 2 piece). Similar to other reviews, the ramen was pretty heavy. I would've liked to have some pickled ginger or something bright to lighten up the dish. Service- 5 stars Our servers were fantastic. We got here at opening and it was about a 15 minute wait to enter. The restaurant is small with 3 rows of tables organized like a beer hall. Bottom Line The ramen was solid but expect a heavy meal (it's tonkatsu which is expected but definitely heavier than usual). However, the experience was a great mindfulness exercise and I walked out feeling much better and motivated. That's more than worth the price for a bowl of ramen!
